One of the saddest cases of child abduction occured near the Brighton Park Theater in Chicago.

15-year-old Barbara and 12-year-old Patricia Grimes, both devoted Elvis Presley fans, went to the theater for a late night showing of the rock n' roll icon's film debut of "Love Me Tender."

They never returned home and the local authorities treated their disappearance as a "runaway," over the protestations of their mother, Loretta Grimes.

Their bodies would be found in a ditch in January of 1957.

The following is an interview with Loretta Grimes for the May 1957 issue of "Front Page Detective" magazine.

She turned to "Front Page Detective" in order to share the ordeal of her family,  as well as for the hope that the case, which remaines unsolved to this day, would find closure.
